Long before Para-Mentors existed, Brian Cormier was building experience across multiple areas of the profession. Working as a frontline paramedic while taking on educator and mentorship roles, he gained firsthand insight into the challenges candidates faced when trying to enter the field and advance their careers. These experiences would eventually shape the foundation of Para-Mentors.

Brian founded Para-Mentors after recognizing a growing demand for professional-level paramedic hiring preparation. Drawing on his experience in education, recruitment, and candidate mentorship, he launched services focused on scenario practice, interview preparation, and recruitment support. What began as individualized coaching quickly grew into a trusted resource for aspiring paramedics across Ontario.

As the hiring landscape changed dramatically following COVID-19, Para-Mentors expanded beyond candidate preparation. Seeing a need to better connect EMS employers with qualified candidates, the organization launched its first Paramedic Career Fair. Planned and executed in just a few weeks, the event exceeded expectations and laid the groundwork for what would become one of Ontario's premier paramedic recruitment events.

Today, Para-Mentors is one of the most widely recognized and trusted organizations in Ontario's paramedic hiring and training landscape. With connections throughout the EMS industry and a commitment to innovation, education, and recruitment excellence, Para-Mentors continues to support candidates, employers, and the profession as a whole.
