Brian and Joshua met in a recruitment environment that would be typical of their future work. Brian was part of the team that hired Joshua at their local paramedic service. Over the next five years, they became close friends and colleagues, leading their service to multiple victories at the National Paramedic Competition. During this time, Joshua was busy growing the Paramedic Job Postings Facebook group, and Brian was working through various educator roles.

Joshua and Brian founded Para-Mentors in 2019 after recognizing a huge demand for professional-level Paramedic hiring preparation. Combining their knowledge of education and recruitment, they launched their first services, which included Scenario practice, interview preparation, and facilitating OSCE recruitments.egies connect paramedic services with skilled professionals ready to serve.

After the landscape for service hiring shifted drastically post-COVID, the Co co-founders had a crazy idea to help services get in front of potential candidates. The first paramedic career fair was put together in only a few weeks, but was wildly successful and laid the foundation for the massive event that we know today.

Today, Para-Mentors is one of the most widely recognized and trusted organizations in the paramedic hiring and training landscape in Ontario. With connections throughout the national industry and the ability to leverage the latest technology in support of our profession, Para-Mentors is positioned to lead the province's hiring and training initiatives.
